Ooooh, Gwibber not working so just visited Identi.ca web interface — the redesign is really nice — uncluttered, very fast and clear. If you don’t already use StatusNet/Identi.ca, it’s really worth a look, it might not have the userbase Twitter can boast but it really should!

DIY websites are now very easy to make and maintain using FOSS applications. Any non-techie with a little confidence can build an attractive website in a couple of hours and maintain it themselves.
The WordPress Workshop is now over and thanks to everyone who came — it was a joy to spend a day with you all! I’ve added everyone to our mailing list.
You can download the WordPress workshop handout here and WordPress workshop presentation here. In the handout, I’ve added links to the ‘email scrambler’ and to the W3C tutorials in HTML, CSS, PHP and other markup and scripting ‘languages’ used on the web.
The workshop was very well-attended and people have been asking for another workshop. The funding has now been used but we can cover our costs by charging £30 per person. If you would be interested in attending an introduction to WordPress workshop, please email us and register your interest.
Thanks again for coming and hope to see you all again.

You can vote for which topics will be included on the 38 Degrees election debate page.
Yesterday’s training session was very enjoyable — thanks to Tracy from The Evelyn Oldfield Unit for organising the workshop and thanks to everyone who came — it was a pleasure!
I also learned a great deal about the barriers smaller organisations and their users may face when considering using social media and will use this feedback in planning future workshops.
If you came to the workshop, do get in touch if you need more help.
